About The Position

Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. is seeking Early Head Start Teachers for its Learning Tree Early Headstart location in Pottawatomie County. The Early Head Start Teacher is responsible for creating and managing an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for young children, incorporating developmentally appropriate learning activities which meet the needs of the group as well as those of individual children. Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in early childhood education, Child Development or related degree with six (6) class in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Childhood Development (CD); OR
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or equivalent
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a motor vehicle with acceptable liability insurance
• Must be computer literate and have accurate typing skills as well as the ability to operate a variety of office equipment
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal and analytical skills required
• Ability to comply with Head Start Performance Standards
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and tuberculosis test. A Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation background check is required. Must be found to be free from any physical, mental or emotional conditions, determined by a qualified physician and/or psychologist, which with or without accommodation might affect the ability of the employee to perform essential job functions.
• The position may require prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. Additionally, the position requires lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 50lbs.
