The Large Engine Center in Lafayette, IN has an EHS Manager role which will provide leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a large facility. This position reports to the Sr. EHS Manager.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience working in Environmental, Health and Safety
- Experience leading/managing technicians and/or teams
- Experience in Incident/Case Management
- Experience managing EHS projects and/or teams
Responsibilities
- Identifies common safety/health/environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audits safety/health/environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.
- Leads a team of 3-5 technicians who assist in operational safety improvements.
