  • Outlines and implements policies or programs to educate and promote employee health and safety or environmental compliance.
  • Delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization.
  • Communicates regularly with management and administration regarding the status of environmental initiatives.
  • Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained.
  • Tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents.
  • Monitors known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.
  • Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles, or equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.
  • Communicates facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
  • Has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations.
  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Environmental Health and Safety or related discipline preferred
