About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team in an industrial manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EHS regulations, safety practices, and environmental sustainability. This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, compliance with local and federal regulations, and continuous improvement of our safety systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety roles within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees across all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and EHS management software.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, PE) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and ensure continuous improvement.
• Monitor, evaluate, and enforce adherence to safety standards and ISO 9001/14001 requirements.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and investigations to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental sustainability by implementing best practices and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain EHS documentation, reports, and records in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
