This position works out of our Roseville, MN location in the CRM Division. As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias or irregular heartbeats. The role involves implementing and maintaining AV policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all Abbott, local, state and federal health and safety standards. Responsibilities include researching and determining applicability of health and safety regulations, providing employee training, conducting inspections, and assisting with corrective actions.

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS permits and licenses required for Abbott site operations.
  • Assist in the identification of potential EHS risks and consequences of new and modified processes/systems/regulations.
  • Formulate, implement, manage and improve all programs related to Environmental, Health and Safety scopes.
  • Establish contacts with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals.
  • Prepare written communication and convey information effectively through formal and informal documents.
  • Prepare project summaries and obtain approval to proceed with proposed action plans.
  • Establish and build relationships with stakeholders and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Review and maintain SDS database and site chemical inventories.
  • Inspect and procure emergency response and disaster preparedness materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate monitoring for employee exposure to chemical and other toxic substances.
  • Investigate EHS incidents and their prevention.
  • Ensure that required EHS training is provided for Abbott employees in a timely fashion.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and standards.
  • Bachelor degree and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in health and safety.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
