As an experienced EHS professional, your work plays a critical role in protecting employee well-being, supporting sustainable operations, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You'll contribute to initiatives that reduce risk, enhance safety performance, and promote environmental responsibility across departments. With your depth of experience, you'll serve as a subject matter expert, collaborate cross-functionally, and help drive continuous improvement in our EHS programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.
  • 3+ years in EHS roles, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or industrial settings.
  • A proactive attitude, with a focus on Safety, Quality, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who is passionate about safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • In depth understanding of federal, state, and local regulations and standards, and their application within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and present to all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety as the number one priority of all employees.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Lead or support EHS programs, policies, and training that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Partner with operations, HR, and leadership teams to integrate EHS into all aspects of the business.
  • Analyze incident trends, lead root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Create and enforce policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Provide EHS guidance and compliance support for the site to ensure adherence to regulatory and program requirements. Participate in EHS compliance and program audits.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate training sessions to educate employees on EHS practices and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain and improve programs for air quality, climate change, waste management, and water conservation. Assist with onsite wastewater treatment.
  • Manage the onsite recycling operation to enhance waste reduction and resource recovery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
