We manufacture water- efficient products including flush valves, electronic faucets, soap dispensing and sink systems along with vitreous china fixtures for commercial, industrial and institutional markets worldwide. The EHS Specialist supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs at the Franklin Park facility. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a strong safety culture to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ Years EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or similar environments.
  • 2+ Years Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus
  • Advanced level experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Demonstrates clear, professional, and respectful verbal and written communication in all interactions, consistent with an inclusive work environment.
  • Understanding of complex verbal & written instructions.
  • Strong knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, OSHA, NFPA, EPA and DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support the effective implementation of the facility’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Maintain required permits, records, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct internal audits and provide support during external regulatory inspections.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with the hourly workforce to actively support and reinforce a positive safety culture across the facility.
  • Collaborate with facility engineers and management to implement control measures and corrective actions for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions and equipment.
  • Support incident investigations by contributing to root‑cause analysis and assisting in the development and implementation of effective corrective action plans.
  • Conduct regular safety audits of the facility, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare reports and review findings from accident investigations, facility inspections, and environmental testing to ensure accurate documentation and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support hazard assessments, job safety analyses (JSAs), and the development and implementation of risk‑mitigation initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors, focusing on environmental, health, and safety risks along with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain EHS metrics, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Coordinate the proper storage and handling of hazardous waste, oversee cleanup efforts for contaminated soil or water, and support additional environmental protection activities as needed.
  • Assist with waste‑management activities, support recycling programs, and contribute to accurate and timely environmental reporting.

  • Compensation: The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $61,000 - $71,000 annually. This position is eligible to participate in the company incentive plan. The terms and conditions of the company incentive plan will be provided to plan participants on an annual basis.
