With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join our team in Camarillo! This is a full-time, exempt position, onsite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS experience in manufacturing or other regulated environments required that includes the following:
  • Regulatory compliance and program development
  • Hazard assessments and risk mitigation
  • Incident investigation and CAPA management
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA/Cal-OSHA regulations
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical, sustainable programs
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgement
  • Multi-tasking capabilities
  • Must have in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain EHS program in compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, DOT, and local regulations for California and Delaware.
  • Conduct site-specific hazard assessments, job safety analysis and risk assessments, identifying hazards and implementing corrective and preventive controls.
  • Lead incident, near-miss, and injury investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action tracking to closure.
  • Manage chemical safety and environmental compliance, including SDS systems, SDS systems and corrective/preventive action tracking to closure.
  • Develop and Deliver EHS training programs, maintain training matrices and records, and ensure employee compliance.
  • Conduct internal EHS audits, inspections and safety walks, and support external regulatory inspections and audits
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics and KPI’s, including TRIR, near misses, audit findings, and corrective action status.
  • Hold quarterly safety meetings with safety committee to deliver KPI results, audit findings, trainings and build safety program awareness.
  • Completes workers comp investigations and closure activities.
