POSITION SUMMARY: The EHS Specialist provides broad support to the site in the area of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). The primary objective of the role is providing regular support to site operations at points of execution (in production and the labs). Promotes and contributes to a site culture where EHS are engrained as a core value with all employees. Assists with EHS program implementation and daily follow-up. Ensures on-going excellence in EHS compliance and expected work practices. This position may have additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, resource conservation, and/or other EHS related activities. EHS Specialist Duties and Responsibilities: Support all Glenmark, USA federal, state and local compliance and injury prevention activities Perform required EHS inspections Participate in internal audits Maintain relevant EHS records and documentation for training and inspections / audits Perform proper classification, labeling, storage, and shipment of hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous wastes Assist in management of various EHS vendors Assist in contractor management and training Note: this description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and is not an exhaustive listing of duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs., and climb ladders
