Job Description Job Requirements Key Responsibilities: Conduct daily inspections of plant areas to identify hazardous conditions or regulatory deficiencies and recommend countermeasures as needed. Review, develop and recommend safety policies and procedures for the plant, ensuring alignment with Hino Motors' standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate safety training sessions for plant personnel and maintain accurate training and safety records. Assist in the investigation of workplace accidents, injuries and near-miss events, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions. Perform and document regular safety inspections of equipment, fire safety systems, chemical storage, material handling and emergency response equipment. Prepare reports and document non-compliant conditions, including safety hazards, and ensure countermeasures are implemented. Participate in emergency planning, safety drills and real-world emergency events as required. Collaborate with plant managers and supervisors to develop and review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), ensuring safe work practices. Oversee safety protocols for contractors working at the plant, ensuring they adhere to approved safety plans. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain a safe working environment. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree required 3-5 years of experience in warehouse and/or manufacturing operations Graduate Safety Professional (GSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification preferred OSHA 30 certification Ability to develop and implement safety programs Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to conduct training Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Skills Required: Ability to formulate and present ideas and findings clearly and concisely orally and in writing Knowledge of related codes, laws, ordinances, rules and regulations An ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety regulations while maintaining positive relationships with management Skilled in conducting safety inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
