Responsible for performing technical work across a wide range of environmental, health, and safety disciplines to ensure full compliance with organizational EHS standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role coordinates EHS compliance activities for safety and environmental programs, reviews regulations, supports incident investigations, and serves as a liaison between regulatory agencies and site operations. The Specialist maintains compliance documentation, supports emergency preparedness training, and promotes event-free operations through proactive risk identification and mitigation. Requires working knowledge and experience in own job discipline and broadens capabilities Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers Performs a range of assignments related to job discipline Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment

Requirements

Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

Outlines and implements policies or programs to educate and promote employee health and safety or environmental compliance.
Delivers training programs educating staff on environmental concerns or health and safety risks found in the organization.
Communicates regularly with management and administration regarding the status of environmental initiatives.
Ensures that training records, health/safety manuals or handbooks, incident/accident reports, or other documentation are appropriately maintained.
Tracks and documents accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents.
Monitors known health, safety, or environmental hazards, such as noise, air, or wastewater pollution levels.
Coordinates inspection of facilities, vehicles, or equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.
Communicates facility-specific emergency response or evacuation plans.
Has a broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations.
