Job Summary: Accountable for administering EHS policies, procedures, and programs by coordinating EHS training, performing chemical hazard assessments, and supporting EHS initiatives.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local occupational safety industry regulations and guidelines (OSHA, EPA, L&I, other)
  • Strong document management skills and attention to details.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving/trouble shooting skills.
  • Proficiency in computer programs/software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP EH&S, and SAP PM.
  • Must have ability to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple priorities.
  • Ability to self-lead tasks to completion.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment but also have the ability to work independently.
  • Must have strong employee training development and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility is key in this role as priorities change quickly.
  • Must be able to move between tasks and projects on short notice and quickly change priorities based on customer and department needs, while meeting project deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or Technical Field, or 10 years of EHS related work experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates incident investigations root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure.
  • Administer EHS training programs and perform EHS training.
  • Respond to hazardous chemical emergencies.
  • Assists in waste minimization practices under the direction of the EHS Management.
  • Provide first aid and CPR on an emergency basis.
  • May provide waste management and respirator fit testing services.
  • Lead or participate in facility EHS inspections.
  • Develop and deploy reusable sharps program with division.
