About The Position

Veolia Water Tech has an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated EHS professional to join our team as the EPP (Engineering and Procurement Projects) and T&;P (Technologies and Products) Fixed Facility EHS Leader. This position is a vital member of an interactive and supportive team responsible for providing comprehensive EHS leadership, guidance, support, and execution specifically for our fixed facility operations. The role requires a seasoned EHS professional with the expertise to identify and implement compliant, practical, cost-effective, and safe solutions that protect our employees, operations, and the environment. As the EHS leader for our fixed facilities, you will oversee critical safety aspects of production and equipment build processes, manage EHS compliance for wastewater treatment and neutralization systems, and develop essential protocols such as traffic management for facility operations. This position demands both technical proficiency and influential leadership capabilities. You will work closely with operations, engineering, and facility leadership teams to build and sustain a robust EHS culture throughout our fixed facility operations. Your responsibilities encompass conducting facility inspections, assisting in hazardous operations reviews, and driving continuous process improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Science, or Technical field
  • 10+ years EHS leadership experience with health and safety focus in manufacturing/production
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local EHS regulations
  • Expertise in facility safety management, equipment build processes, and production operations
  • Facility inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
  • Wastewater treatment and neutralization compliance
  • Traffic management and facility layout safety
  • Secondary containment systems for hazmat storage (EPA/OSHA compliance)
  • HAZOP facilitation and process hazard identification
  • GHS compliance (classification, labeling, SDS management)
  • Environmental permitting (air quality, NPDES, stormwater)
  • Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene, occupational health hazards, and emergency response planning
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs and policies

  • Implement High Risk Management standards and LSR (Life Saving Rules)
  • Maintain EHS framework and complete Gensuite requirements (incidents, corrective actions, continuous improvement)
  • Drive process improvements and implement consistent EHS programs and policies
  • Manage competing priorities with sound judgment in dynamic environments
  • Ensure regulatory and company standards compliance
  • Coach teams on EHS requirements and communicate solutions professionally
  • Interface with vendors and customers on safety/environmental concerns
