About The Position

The EHS & Risk Intern will help support, with the Manager of EHS & Risk, on the implementation of EHS and risk related projects, tasks, and analysis during the duration of the summer program. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in an EHS & risk environment within manufacturing and distribution facilities.

Requirements

  • Current student in a 4-year degree program.
  • Currently in a college or university program focused on Environmental Science, Occupational, Safety and Health, Safety Engineering, Risk Management, Industrial Safety, etc.
  • Expected graduation date between May 2026-May 2027.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Familiar with OSHA and TCEQ Regulations.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, initiative, analytical, takes accountability, attention to detail, and learning mindset skills and abilities.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts + 1-hour lunch).
  • Must be available to work Monday-Friday from 7 AM-4 PM preferred – some flexibility on start time is available and can be discussed further.
  • Must have a reliable internet connection to work remotely on Friday’s.
  • Must have reliable transportation to commute on-site to the Lewisville, TX office.
  • Must be able to wear closed-toed shoes or boots on the worksite and for the final interview.

Responsibilities

  • Support project tasks as outlined in the internship project plan to streamline and improve EHA & Risk related activities to mitigate risk and hazards.
  • Collect, organize, or analyze information to support project goals.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in meetings.
  • Prepare updates, summaries, or presentations with guidance from your manager.
  • Assist with department initiatives as needed to gain exposure and increase learning.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
