About The Position

As an EHS Professional, you’ll design and deliver health, fitness, and wellbeing programs that help our people feel and perform at their best, on the shop floor, in field operations, and in office environments. You’ll provide one‑on‑one coaching, lead engaging group sessions, and partner closely with Occupational Health, EHS, and HR to support safe, sustainable work practices. Your work will improve participation, reduce preventable injuries, and foster a culture of wellbeing across the site.

Requirements

  • Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Demonstrates extensive experience evaluating options, analyzing data, and selecting well‑reasoned decisions that drive effective outcomes. Applies strong judgment by challenging assumptions, synthesizing information quickly, and choosing the appropriate decision‑making approach, consultative, command, or consensus, while ensuring decisions are grounded in objective analysis.
  • Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Policy Compliance: Brings extensive experience implementing EHS policies, developing safety plans, and training employees to ensure site-wide understanding. Designs effective incident-reporting procedures, collaborates across departments to strengthen compliance, and supports pollution control and waste-reduction efforts involving materials, energy, and water use.
  • Overcoming Resistance to Change: Demonstrates extensive experience leading teams through change by communicating expectations clearly, addressing concerns proactively, and framing change in a positive, constructive way. Guides employees through the change-acceptance process and promotes behaviors that support smooth, lasting adoption of new processes and organizational initiatives.
  • Risk Management: Applies working knowledge of risk management by identifying key risks, interpreting risk reports, and implementing mitigation processes that strengthen organizational resilience. Documents controls, evaluates risk-assessment methods appropriate to the business, and uses effective tools and techniques to reduce exposure and support informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Event Management Manage safety event data for a division supporting 31 manufacturing facilities, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Validate monthly safety statistics and maintain data integrity across all sites.
  • Coordinate division‑wide safety event reviews, including scheduling, content preparation, and follow‑up.
  • Partner with facilities to ensure all event review materials are complete, consistent, and submitted on time.
  • Lead high‑visibility safety reviews with the Vice President and Facility Managers.
  • EHS Compliance & Audit Readiness Serve as the division’s EHS Compliance Leader, ensuring alignment with regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Guide sites in preparing for IAAS audits and Corporate EHS Assessments, covering all 29 EHS Assurance Manual Elements.
  • Begin audit preparation months in advance, ensuring readiness, documentation accuracy, and corrective action progress.
  • Provide onsite support during audits and coordinate real‑time issue resolution.
  • Share lessons learned, best practices, and conformance expectations across the division.
  • Corrective Action / Preventative Action (CAPA) Leadership Oversee CAPA management for high‑priority incidents, including recordables, pSIFs, and SIFs, ensuring timely and effective closure.
  • Track all action items, partner with owners, and remove barriers to prevent delays.
  • Manage and monitor corrective actions stemming from audits, assessments, and regulatory events.
  • Lead the monthly CAPA review meeting with action owners and leadership stakeholders.
  • EHS Data Systems Ownership Serve as the system owner for division‑wide EHS data management tools, including SIMS, Global Corrective Action, ABBS, Stop‑to‑Fix, and High Energy Management applications.
  • Collaborate with division EHS managers to enhance system functionality, reporting, and usability.
  • Lead continuous improvement meetings with EHS leaders to evaluate system performance and drive enhancements.
  • Special Projects Lead or support special division initiatives, such as DOE, DESP, and H2‑related projects, ensuring deliverables are met and cross‑functional alignment is maintained.
