About The Position

Join our Global Safety & Environmental (GSE) Safety Center of Excellence team as the EHS Operations Excellence Director! This Director will be a part of the Global Safety & Environmental (GSE) Safety Center of Excellence (COE) team. The key responsibilities in this leadership role include creating and tracking EHS Standards, Metrics, Training, Communication, and Change Management. You will guide the EHS Operational Excellence team to develop and execute governance for our EHS Program, ensuring it meets the highest standards of safety and compliance. You must be a dynamic and innovative leader who is a strategic thinker, passionate about driving EHS excellence and developing effective solutions to support EHS compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, or related technical discipline.
  • BS/BA in safety, environmental, ergonomics or a science field required; M.S. is desirable.
  • 8+ years applied professional EHS work experience.
  • Direct experience managing a site or corporate-level EHS program.
  • Demonstrate strong project management techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to influence both horizontally and vertically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
  • Ability to develop, implement and articulate department goals and strategies.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • People Management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team dedicated to overseeing the governance of the Company's EHS Program, focusing on process improvements, data analytics, change management, and global communication strategies.
  • Drive the EHS Capability Build initiative and ensure knowledge transfer at all organizational levels.
  • Develop and implement standard user-friendly solutions to manage EHS programs, identification of compliance gaps and oversee the EHS program change management process.
  • Perform data analytics to determine, monitor and communicate the effectiveness of safety programs.
  • Develop the EHS Data Strategy and governance framework to evaluate EHS program effectiveness, communicate compliance gaps so to enable leaders to proactively deploy actions to fix compliance gaps.
  • Partner with Safety and Environment experts, GSE leadership, and sites to identify strategic actions for EHS continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deploy standard change management strategies to ensure programs are communicated and changes are effectively adopted and realized throughout the company.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to optimize EHS business processes by addressing challenges through stakeholder feedback and incident reviews, focusing on simplification, standardization, and digitization.
