Join our team as EHS Environmental Health and Safety Manager for our bustling manufacturing Beverage and Milk plants in Denver CO! As the guardian of safety, you'll be setting the tone for an initiative-taking, prevention‑driven safety culture across the facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, Health and Safety or a related field preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience managing an EHS Program.
  • Must possess working knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA and EPA standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and management techniques in identification of key facility
  • improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to influence.
  • Ability to travel overnight on occasion to participate in Facility Assessments, Professional
  • Development Conferences and Departmental Meetings.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required by corporate and plant management.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications are desirable. (Organizational and Trainer)
  • Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations experience preferred.
  • Food/beverage manufacturing background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementing, managing, and sustaining the facility’s Environmental Health and Safety management programs, managing the environmental, health and safety activities for the plant to ensure regulatory compliance and protecting human health and the environment.
  • This position will also ensure facilities areas are compliant with: o all OSHA, EPA, and local regulations o all federal and state\local food safety guidelines and requirements o company safety standards, including support for the: Process Safety Management Program Wastewater Discharge Program Storm Water Pollution Prevention (SWPP) Plan Spill Prevention, Pollution, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Program
  • Manage and monitor workers’ compensation. Investigating industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
  • Serve as the primary representative for external and internal audits and outside agencies and organization contacts.
  • Understand relevant technical requirements in safety, including Federal, State and Local ordinances and rules. Ensure standards meet or exceed both company and governmental regulations.
  • Conduct new associate safety orientation and training.
  • Provide coaching as needed to ensure EHS programs standards are complied with.
  • Provide leadership and administration to the safety and security program.
  • Provide site safety leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards, implement safety directives, improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies and procedures meet or exceed governmental regulations.
  • Promote safe work activities by performing weekly\monthly safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety. regulation compliance.
  • Implement established safety and security standards, methods of accomplishing those standards, and reporting processes for ensure compliance.
  • Conduct required risk assessments for the facility.
  • Ensure risk assessment findings are corrected by the assigned party in a timely fashion.
  • Champion all safety improvements and ideas for the Manufacturing Facility
  • Provide leadership and direction regarding safety and security policies and procedures with the assistance of managers and supervisors.
  • Manage Safety Committee for continuous improvement and professional growth to build organizational capability.
