This position supports a manufacturing operation with processes including:
Steel fabrication | Tube processing | Plasma cutting | Laser cutting | Oxy fuel cutting | Punching | Machining | Welding | Kanban management | Kitting and assembly | Precision leveling | Special profiles | CNC angle line | Tube laser cutting | Laser welding | Saw cutting | Painting and powder coating | Pemming | Forming and bending

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety, Environmental, or a related field
• 4 to 8 years of EHS experience, including leadership and employee coaching responsibilities
• Strong ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Excellent leadership skills and working knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements
• Experience with Behavior-Based Safety techniques

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Partner with the Greensboro facility and corporate EHS team to develop and implement standardized programs that maintain full compliance and support performance metrics
• Measure plant performance against best-in-class manufacturing standards and implement improvement plans focused on continuous improvement
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and leadership
• Provide strategic direction and implement safety management systems for hazard prevention and control
• Recommend corrective actions using the hierarchy of controls to reduce risk and protect employees in a manufacturing environment
• Manage safety and health programs, while sharing best practices and lessons learned across other company locations
• Oversee all EHS regulatory reporting and permit requirements
