We have an opportunity for a motivated, self-directed Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to support the sites in Raytheon’s Central Region, including customer and remote locations. As an EHS Manager, Central Region Support, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment and will foster employee engagement and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program. This is a unique opportunity that will give you the chance to see our products as they are produced in the factory and then in use at customer locations.

Requirements

• Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Experience providing EHS training to internal and/or external stakeholders.
• Experience working with OSHA and / or EPA standards in a military or civilian environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working alone or unsupervised for long periods.
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, occasionally to remote or austere environments.
• Practical knowledge of leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.
• Experience with Electrical Safety, LOTO and Fall Protection.

Responsibilities

• Recognizing, evaluating and controlling hazardous workplace conditions.
• Taking proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
• Partnering with site POCs and EH&S subject matter experts to assure compliance including appropriate documentation to prove alignment with federal, state, local and company EH&S requirements.
• Executing initiatives, programs, reports and training across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.
• Investigating, analyzing and interpreting data from injuries and near-misses, and ensuring corrective actions are completed on time.
• Interacting with employees of all levels, promoting relationships, learning the tasks employees perform and becoming known as a resource to the employees at the sites within your region.
• Contributing to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
• Identifying environmental risk and supporting the sites’ environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management, stormwater and ground-water protection plans, air quality permitting, wastewater and toxic chemical reporting.
• Developing and implementing sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases in alignment with our long-term goals.
