About The Position

The Role: Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking a/an EHS Intern to join our team for the Summer 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration, beginning in May 2026. The EHS Intern will help ensure Entegris meets its compliance objectives by defining and implementing best practice solutions. They will have an opportunity to work cooperatively across departments with various stakeholders from front line operators to the site director. Significant EHS projects include air monitoring and hazardous waste development, ergonomics control solutions in various operations, and environmental sustainability.

Requirements

  • Familiarity in a laboratory setting
  • Exposure to project management principals
  • Strong and effective communicator
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Good analytical skills in assessing relevance and accuracy of data
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in an internship program
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Interfacing with manufacturing engineering, operations, new product development, and facilities teams, is a plus
  • Hands-on ability with chemical processing equipment, and air and water testing instrumentation, is a plus
  • Working with third party laboratories and consultants regarding factory HVAC systems, and monitoring data analysis, is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Project: Chemical Inventory to create, integrate and implement annual audit into operations stored chemical inventories. Improves ability to eliminate serious injury and NOV from reporting agencies.
  • Project: Account for and validate, perform inspections of all appropriate Emergency Response equipment on site. Track and schedule required emergency response training of ERT members.
  • Project: Inspections of waste storage areas to create, integrate and implement audits to ensure SAA and CAA areas are in compliance.
  • Project: Co-lead the facility sustainability efforts and waste reduction efforts.
