About The Position

Develop, maintain and apply programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards and ISO standards for industrial hygiene and safety as part of an EHS Management System. Conduct industrial hygiene sampling of personnel and work place hazards. Manage associated analytical data and records. Conduct Job Safety Assessments (JSAs) of work place hazards. Develop written programs and oversee site compliance for topics such as Asbestos, Arsenic, Hearing Protection, Ionizing Radiation, Lasers, Lead, Respirators, RF Energy, Local Exhaust and Ventilation, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Chemical Exposure Prevention, Food Safety, Equipment Safety and Personal Safety. Evaluate risks and hazards to then apply appropriate engineering controls and/or administrative controls. Conduct area inspections for safety hazards, and root cause investigations for near misses, accidents and injuries. Analyze data and develop presentations and written summaries of risks, hazards, control programs and compliance status. Partner with internal organizations to increase employee awareness and reduce incidents of injuries and accidents. Participate in on-call rotation with other staff to support manufacturing organization. Experience: Industrial Hygiene / Safety experience of at least 4 years working in manufacturing, construction and/or consultant setting. Responsibilities and compensation are adjustable based on additional years of experience. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or other technical field (preferred). Status as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP), or on the path to a certification is preferred. More information about NXP in the United States... Requirements

  • Industrial Hygiene / Safety experience of at least 4 years working in manufacturing, construction and/or consultant setting.
