About The Position

The EHS intern position demands a person who is a self-starter, able to juggle several tasks simultaneously, and has the ability to blend the details with the strategic elements. Additionally, this internship requires a high level of interaction with various cross-functional groups, working extensively at the production floor level with the ability to convey ideas and knowledge, both verbally and through documentation.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessments of EHS programs to identify and control significant loss producing exposures.
• Assist in problem solving incidents, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Provide technical research/guidance and support to the operations in risk analysis and regulatory interpretation.
• Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) for manufacturing tasks and document in EHS database systems.
• Provide solutions for ergonomic controls for various tasks producing ergonomic discomfort.
• Engage employees to help identify and mitigate hazards throughout the facilities.
