About The Position

As a Warehouse EHS & Pest Control Specialist at Hawaii Logistics LLC, you will play a crucial role in integrating Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Pest Control into the operational framework of the facility. This position focuses on implementing systems and procedures to ensure the safety of associates and minimize environmental impacts, with a role split of 65% Pest Control and 35% EHS. You will be responsible for evaluating various areas within the warehouse for potential health and safety threats and executing company-wide EHS initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of supervisory level roles in a fast-paced business environment, preferably warehouses.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification.
• Pesticide Applicator's License.

• Currently holds or actively pursuing appropriate professional designations and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate coolers, storage spaces, workstations, communal areas, and equipment for potential threats to health, safety, or pest control, and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Execute on and maintain company-wide EHS initiatives including assigned facility compliance activities.
• Provide effective solutions to current and anticipate changing business needs to build and sustain a strong safety culture.
• Actively engage associates of all levels within the assigned facility and perform routine audits and assessments to prevent incidents.
• Thoroughly investigate all incidents including near misses and develop appropriate action plans to mitigate future incidents, communicating these plans with local operations team members.
• Provide support to all departments with proper food safety and sanitation practices as needed.
