The EHS Engineering & Design Support Manager (Americas) will be the primary contact for EHS in capital projects, from equipment installations to new site constructions, ensuring hazards and risks are identified and controlled. Working across the Fragrance & Beauty and Taste & Wellbeing divisions, you will provide technical expertise, lead risk assessments, and ensure compliance with regional regulations and corporate standards. In addition to project support, you will contribute to EHS campaigns, cultural improvement, audits, and leadership of direct reports.

  • Be the main EHS contact for capital projects, including plant installations and new site construction.
  • Provide EHS expertise to project teams in the Fragrance & Beauty and Taste & Wellbeing divisions, ensuring compliance with regional regulations and company standards.
  • Connect project teams with the Global EHS CoE and coordinate subject matter experts when needed.
  • Lead risk identification and assessments to ensure hazards are managed.
  • Partner with Engineering CoE and Operations to design and implement EHS solutions for fire protection, explosion prevention, exposure control, and machine safety.
  • Support Regional EHS Directors with technical input on LFE processes and incident investigations, and HIPOs.
  • Contribute to the development of risk analysis methodologies, technical guidelines.
  • Share best practices and EHS solutions across projects and sites.
  • Deliver training, education, and projects that build EHS knowledge and culture.
  • Contribute to projects that support leadership teams.
  • Conduct internal EHS audits.
  • Manage direct reports and oversee budget responsibilities.
  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in a site or regional engineering role with a focus on EHS.
  • Knowledge of North American codes and standards, including building codes, NFPA, OSHA, and EPA.
  • Experience in plant design, equipment integrity, and facilities operation.
  • Experience coordinating several projects at once and adapting to shifting timelines or requirements.
  • Experience working in multicultural and versatile environments.
  • Experience building relationships with partners and collaborating across teams.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ideally have working language capabilities in Spanish.
