About The Position

This position provides Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) related advice and support to reduce risks for the organization. The role focuses on promoting positive behaviors and establishing healthy work styles through campaigns and communication of health-related issues, ultimately aiming to enhance workplace safety and compliance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of EHS experience in both industrial and construction settings.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws covering Environmental, Health, and Safety.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO45001, and ISO9001 management systems.
  • OSHA 30 for Construction and OSHA 500 Certification.
  • Experience in developing and implementing EHS programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS issues in both manufacturing and construction environments.
  • Experience with risk analysis methodologies and corrective action development.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust priorities in a large construction environment.
  • Ability to develop and present safety-related training as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of SharePoint and SAP systems.
  • Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge in Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, and Risk Analysis methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Training in First-Aid/CPR or higher certification desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Implement, deploy, and improve EHS related procedures and processes to reduce work-related accident rates.
  • Analyze trends in EHS metrics monthly and initiate improvement actions as required.
  • Coordinate and support the development of EHS training and qualifications, both face-to-face and digital.
  • Promote a behavior-based safety culture through training and mentoring of area leaders.
  • Coordinate activities related to industrial hygiene and safety risk analysis to identify critical risks and verify adequate controls are implemented.
  • Participate in global and local EHS projects.
  • Assist production personnel and EHS Technicians with investigations of complex EHS events and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the LEGO Group and the General Contractor's Safety Team on daily activities and high-risk task monitoring.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Participate in weekly site safety meetings with general contractors and subcontractor safety representatives.
