About The Position

Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, the largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products in North America, focused on the execution of our strategy to “Expand Beyond” our core business. As a part of Nucor’s New Markets product group, NTS is focused on the exciting growth potential in the power distribution market. Nucor Towers & Structures: Is part of Nucor’s Expand Beyond initiative. NTS builds transmission towers that is critical for Americas future infrastructure. Nucor Towers & Structures (NTS) has an opening for the position of Environmental Coordinator for the Brigham City, Utah facility. Duties include taking a lead role in environmental compliance at our greenfield and temporary operations facilities, driving permit applications, project management, training, maintaining required emergency contingency plans, and community outreach programs. As a Nucor facility, a focus of the position is looking for opportunities to improve our operations, culture, and environmental footprint. The Environmental Coordinator will report to the EHS Supervisor and be a part of multiple teams within Nucor: NTS Group EHS and Nucor Environmental Team. Positive interaction with teammates to promote a positive environmental and safety culture is required. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Four-year degree from an accredited university in environmental or a related discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Four-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, preferably environmental, chemical, civil, or a similar environmental program.
  • RCRA waste generation, storage, and proper disposal knowledge
  • Two (2+) years of experience in environmental compliance, air pollution control, waste management, and/or wastewater treatment operations.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of environmental regulations (air, water, EPCRA, DOT, and hazardous waste).
