Work Location: Waco, TX Department: Operations Reports To: EHS Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Travel Requirements: 0–15% Who We Are Looking For We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and safety-driven EHS Coordinator to support and execute environmental, health, and safety initiatives across our North American operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is passionate about promoting a safety-first culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement. You bring strong organizational skills, the ability to influence safe behaviors, and a disciplined approach to inspections, training, and incident prevention. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and incident-free workplace while partnering across multiple facilities to support EHS programs and initiatives. Position Overview The EHS Coordinator supports the company’s safety mission by helping ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, customers, and contractors. This role is responsible for supporting EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting training and inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 1–3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
  • Experience delivering safety training and conducting workplace inspections
  • Familiarity with incident investigation and hazard assessments
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of OSHA and safety compliance requirements
  • Inspection & Audit Capability: Ability to identify risks and enforce safe practices
  • Incident Investigation: Strong root cause analysis and corrective action follow-through
  • Training & Communication: Effective delivery of safety training and messaging
  • Data & Reporting: Ability to analyze KPIs, trends, and safety metrics
  • Influence & Culture Building: Promotes accountability and safe behaviors at all levels
  • Organization & Execution: Manages multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
  • Collaboration: Works effectively across departments and multi-site operations
  • Professionalism & Integrity: Maintains confidentiality and sound judgment

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and maintenance of EHS programs across multiple sites
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Maintain OSHA logs (300/300A) and compliance documentation
  • Support regulatory reporting and audit readiness
  • Develop and execute monthly safety training plans
  • Conduct new hire safety orientation and toolbox talks
  • Deliver compliance training (PIT certification, respirator fit testing, etc.)
  • Promote and reinforce a proactive safety-first culture
  • Conduct daily walkarounds and monthly facility inspections
  • Perform hazard assessments, ergonomic evaluations, and PPE compliance checks
  • Lead or support internal audits and corrective action tracking
  • Ensure SDS management and workplace safety documentation is current
  • Lead or support incident investigations (injuries, near misses, property damage)
  • Conduct root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS metrics and trends
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Support emergency response programs, drills, and evacuation planning
  • Coordinate fire drills and safety committee activities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks
  • Monitor contractor safety compliance
