About The Position

The EHS Coordinator supports and coordinates the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across all facilities. This role helps ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, and internal company policies while promoting and strengthening a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. The EHS Coordinator also manages and coordinates the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), supports environmental compliance initiatives, assists with safety training programs, and collaborates cross-functionally with employees, management, and external partners to identify hazards, reduce workplace risks, and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in an EHS, safety, or compliance support role
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements (hazardous waste, chemical management, etc.)
  • Experience with incident investigations and corrective action tracking
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain the company’s Safety Management System (SMS), including documentation, procedures, and program updates
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and facility walkthroughs to identify hazards and ensure compliance
  • Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries; document findings and track corrective actions
  • Maintain OSHA logs (300, 300A, 301) and other required safety and environmental records
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
  • Assist with hazardous materials management including labeling, storage, and disposal
  • Coordinate safety training programs including new hire orientation, required regulatory training, and refresher training
  • Support emergency preparedness programs including drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency response planning
  • Maintain safety equipment including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, first aid kits, and spill response equipment
  • Assist with internal and external EHS audits and regulatory inspections
  • Track safety metrics and help prepare reports for management review
  • Coordinate with Facilities and Operations to address safety concerns related to equipment, building infrastructure, and processes
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and the chemical inventory system
  • Assist in maintaining environmental permits and reporting requirements
  • Promote employee engagement in safety initiatives and continuous improvement
