About The Position

The EHS Compliance Training Manager is responsible for implementing, coordinating, and managing company-wide environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance and training programs. This role ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, supports a strong safety culture, and maintains accurate documentation and reporting. The position focuses on delivery, scheduling, and compliance tracking of safety and regulatory training-not on the creation or development of training materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience in industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
  • Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure company operations comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, MSHA and other safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain, and update EHS compliance documents, permits and policies as required.
  • Conduct and coordinate regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and compliance gaps.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies during inspections, reporting, and correspondence.
  • Track, report, and analyze EHS performance metrics, corrective actions, and incident trends.
  • Administer and deliver EHS training programs developed by the Director of Training or other approved sources.
  • Schedule, organize and manage training sessions to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate training records, certifications and compliance documentation in the company's learning management systems (LMS) or other tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with Director of Training to develop innovative training tools to increase engagement and retention.
  • Coach and mentor supervisors and employees on EHS responsibilities.
  • Ensure employees, supervisors and contractors complete all required training within designated timeframes.
  • Promote and reinforce a proactive safety culture company-wide and all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and provide feedback to the Director of Training for program improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership to integrate EHS and compliance practices into daily activities and business goals.
  • Manage emergency response programs, including drills, planning, and communication.
  • Support the implementation of sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives.
