About The Position

Working in the environmental, health, and safety fields is a rewarding and impactful position. Co- o ps in this role can expect to interact with a cross section of the entire business to assess their risk exposure, mitigate hazards with controls, and connect with individuals on creative solutions to personal safety opportunities. Requirements

  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to exercise discretion and diplomacy in the course of communications.
  • Must have excellent computer skills in applications such as Word , Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Support ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 EHS Management System through management of selected program elements, documentation, auditing, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct/monitors daily, weekly, and monthly EHS inspections and recommend improvements to the EHS committee
  • Develop site specific training and assist with the management of on-line training curriculum via LMS, maintain training records
  • Manage Axcelis’ Hazard Communication Program, including maintenance of written program, SDS management, chemical and facilities labeling, and new chemical review and approval.
  • Conduct comprehensive EHS incident/near miss investigations, determine root cause, and make recommendations for corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct and document Risk Assessments for plant operations
