About The Position

The Role: Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking an EHS Co-Op to join our team for the Fall 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration, beginning in June through December. The EHS Co-Op is to ensure Entegris meets its compliance objectives by defining and implementing best practice solutions by working cooperatively across departments with various stakeholders from front line operators to the site director. Significant EHS projects include air monitoring, hazard assessments, ergonomics control solutions and environmental sustainability.

Requirements

  • Outgoing and cooperative to work cross-functionally
  • Extensive laboratory experience
  • Project Management
  • Interfacing with manufacturing engineering, operations, new product development, and facilities teams
  • Hands-on ability with chemical processing equipment, and air and water testing instrumentation
  • Experience with excel and pivot tables
  • Good analytical skills in assessing relevance and accuracy of data
  • Desired Major: Chemistry, Biology, Safety, Environmental
  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in mid-May/June through August/September.
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site safety inspections (PPE checks, housekeeping, equipment guarding)
  • Help track and update JSAs, SOPs, LOTO procedures
  • Conduct hazard assessments alongside supervisors
  • Participate in incident investigations (root cause analysis, corrective actions)
  • Perform waste labeling, tracking, and accumulation area inspections
  • Assist with air, water, and waste reporting and recordkeeping
  • Support spill prevention program updates and documentation
  • Monitor chemical inventory and SDS management
  • Conduct ergonomic observations and suggest improvements
  • Assist in delivering weekly safety briefings or toolbox talks
  • Create awareness posters, digital signage, or safety campaigns
