About The Position

The EHS Classroom Teacher at Eagle Lake CDC plays a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5 years. The teacher will collaborate with families and staff to create individualized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each child. Additionally, the EHS Classroom Teacher will assess and document children's progress, ensuring that they meet developmental milestones. Ultimately, this role aims to prepare children for future educational success while supporting their overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Infant/Toddler CDA or equivalent credential and High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or Pre-school CDA with training and ability to obtain CDA for infants and toddlers.
  • Employee must be willing, and possess the aptitude and skills necessary, to pursue the preferred educational requirements. (as required by the Head Start Standards)
  • Two years experience teaching, or assistant teaching infants and toddlers in a licensed child care center. Knowledge and experience in: child development and early childhood education; the principles of child health, safety and nutrition; and family dynamics. Working knowledge of: personal computers; word processing; Internet access; and email usage. Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related discipline; CDA for infants and toddlers.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment tools specific to early childhood education.
  • Training in special education or experience working with children with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with technology integration in early childhood classrooms.
  • Bilingual abilities or experience working in multicultural educational environments.
