About The Position

The Associate Manager, Environment, Safety & Health (ESH) is responsible for driving high‑performance ESH outcomes across roughly 110 AFS sites supporting ~2,400 Lockheed Martin employees. This role partners closely with AFS leadership, Aero ESH leadership, Medical Services, Corporate ESH working groups, and site‑level leaders and ESH representatives to ensure compliance, protect employee health, and advance Aero’s global ESH strategy. Regional ESH Representation – Direct and mentor ESH representatives at Fallon, Ebbing, and Luke Air Force Bases, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. International Oversight – Provide ESH governance for Aero’s international facilities, aligning local practices with corporate policies and global regulatory expectations. Support and lead ESH operations at Italian locations. Corporate Working Group Participation – Contribute to corporate ESH initiatives, including the Global Working Group, to shape and implement Aero’s international ESH strategy. Incident Investigation – Lead investigations of injuries, near‑misses, and close calls; develop corrective actions and track closure to prevent recurrence. Requirements

  • Experience in Site Management
  • Medical Services Coordination
  • Experience in coordinate air and noise sampling
  • Experience managing a hearing conservation program
  • Experience in updating, maintaining ESH policies
  • Experience in leadership compliance, metrics, & regulatory reporting

Nice To Haves

  • Strong familiarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT, DoD/AFMC regulations, and international ESH standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
  • Hands‑on experience conducting IH surveys, sampling, and data interpretation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional teams, coach site representatives, and drive cultural change.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time, including overnight trips to U.S. and OCONUS sites as budget permits.
