Salary: The annual salary for this position ranges from $115,000 - $130,000 + 10% Bonus Target and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting annual salary within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset. Summary: The EHS and Facilities Manager is responsible for leading all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs across APT US and supporting additional regional Signode sites. This role ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, drives proactive safety initiatives, and strengthens the organization’s safety culture. The position also oversees facility management for the Roselle location, working closely with the landlord and coordinating external contractors. This is a highly visible, floor‑engaged role requiring daily presence in operations, consistent communication with employees, and direct support of multi‑site safety needs. The role also supports the Field Service team by ensuring safe work practices, compliance, and customer‑site readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years in an environmental, health and safety role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work any shift and extended hours to support employees on all shifts.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate environmental, health, and safety regulations and maintain all required documentation for APT US and regional Signode sites.
  • Maintain all required employee safety training programs, ensuring completion, documentation, and ongoing compliance.
  • Monitor corrective actions from EHS audits and collaborate with site leadership to close gaps.
  • Develop and deliver safety training for multiple sites and conduct onboarding safety training for new employees.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and external safety agencies.
  • Coordinate environmental, health, safety, and ergonomic initiatives with site leaders across APT US.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, perform detailed root cause analysis, and manage incident reporting.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of safety procedures, incidents, and related events.
  • Conduct site audits and partner with leadership teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Manage emergency preparedness, evacuation planning, hazard communication, audiometric programs, chemical exposure management, and waste minimization programs.
  • Oversee hazardous waste, air programs, wastewater programs, emissions reporting, lead management, and community Right‑to‑Know requirements.
  • Supervise facility staff and contractors at the Roselle location and maintain vendor service contracts.
  • Work closely with the landlord to maintain a high‑quality facility environment.
  • Manage facility-related needs including building security, waste disposal, and maintenance.
  • Travel regularly to Bridgeview and Kankakee, support customer visits with the Reliability Services team, and visit other APT US facilities on a quarterly basis.
  • Support the Field Service team by coordinating safety requirements, assisting with customer site visits, ensuring technicians have proper safety training and PPE, and addressing field‑based risks and compliance needs.
