About The Position

Troubleshoot complex database issues in an accurate and timely manner. Develop and maintain a close relationship with the EHR provider. Report and follow up on issues reported to the EHR provider. Identify and resolve EHR issues related to performance and capacity. Supervise installation, migration, and upgrades of the EHR. Develop, document and perform a standardized protocol for QA testing of the EHR before and after upgrades. Ensure that the EHR is developed according to business requirements. Prepare reports on EHR scalability and capacity planning as needed. Conduct training programs for staff on EHR use. Train and communicates with agency “superusers.” Oversee the EHR steering committee. Perform regular audits to ensure data integrity and quality. Provide regular updates to management of EHR project status and forthcoming enhancements. Stay updated with new EHR technologies and analyze such technologies to bring into speedy recovery. Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of EHR systems and clinical workflows including vendor relationships and ticketing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Healthcare IT regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST).
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams, clinicians, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s in computer science or healthcare information technology preferred or similar.
  • Proficient in SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Access, and Excel for problem solving and report writing.
  • Experience with product life-cycle management and change control.
