Responsibilities

  • Assisting interventional radiologists in performing minimally invasive procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, or catheter placements.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging (e.g., CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-rays).
  • Managing pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
  • Handling patient sedation, anesthesia, and monitoring during procedures.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
  • Injection, exchange and removal of drainage catheters to include GU and GI drains.
  • Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
  • Perform venography and assist with arteriography.
  • Placement, repositioning and removal of tunneled and non-tunneled catheters including implanted ports.
  • Perform lumbar puncture and myelography under imaging guidance.
  • Perform biopsy under imaging guidance to include thyroid and lymph node.
  • Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.
  • Placement of small bore chest tubes under imaging guidance.
  • Perform fluoroscopic GI studies.
  • May be required to take evening, weekend and holiday call based upon company needs.
