About The Position
The EHC Palliative Medicine Physician at Emory Decatur Hospital is responsible for providing palliative care consultations within the hospital, direct care of patients admitted to inpatient hospice, and outpatient consultation and follow-up in the outpatient clinic setting. The position requires a full-time commitment of 1.0 FTE, with clinical service time totaling 184 clinical days per year, which includes a target of 160 weekdays and 24 weekend days. Call responsibilities are evenly distributed among the practice group, with approximately 80% of the clinical work being inpatient and up to 20% outpatient.
