Responsibilities

  • Inspects the facility to identify safety, health and environmental risks
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections
  • Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the facility
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, weekly safety talks, OSHA mandated training, and other relevant topics
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures
  • Ensures that all safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
  • Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
  • Works with Cornerstone Environmental to prepare Tier II reporting requirements
  • Maintains SPCC and SWPPP as well as local ordinance for air pollution and HMPC policy.
  • Works with state and local authorities to ensure that facility is following all required regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with required number of Near Misses, Observations and CAPA’s.
  • Manages and reports all injuries and first aids to ESIS and GDC.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Food Safety Program (GMP)
