Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech We are searching for the best talent for Environmental, Health & Safety ( EH&S) Intern to be in Santa Clara, CA . The Intern term is from June to August, 2026. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). Purpose: Facilities and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) are critical to the day-to-day operations and safety of our employees and protection of our environment. We are seeking an intern that will work on enhancing our Facilities & EHS systems and portal page globally. We expect this position to have these projects complete by the end of their internship.

Requirements

  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Facility Management, or Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) systems engineering, or related fields.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Advanced computer application skills
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong follow through in time management, attention to detail, and reliability
  • Able to work independently with management guidance or as part of a team
  • Willingness to ask for support when needed to complete a task
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish speaking is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Review and provide suggestions to enhance our Facilities & EHS systems.
  • Help define and assemble Facilities/EHS welcome packet to be included in New Hire welcome presentation.
  • Support environmentally sustainable projects.
  • Assist in tracking monthly safety and environmental metrics.
  • Participate in the development and review of employee training material for various safety and environmental competencies.
  • Organize and update the current SharePoint & intranet webpage.
  • Help develop dashboards for Facilities and EHS to track projects, budgets, environmental data etc.
  • Document any gaps in the maintenance or facilities SOPs and assist in creating those SOPs.
