At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will apply standard engineering methods for the design, development, and verification of data collection and control systems used in either flight component testing or ground launch support facilities. This requires the development and release of artifacts following the facility lifecycle plan as well as maintaining configuration management of operational systems. You will apply standard engineering techniques to design, develop, and maintain instrumentation, power supply architecture or controls systems. You will automate manufacturing or similar processes through the use of instrumentation or controls systems. You will develop new and modify existing PLC or HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded controls. You will participate in set-up and commissioning of new facilities or upgrading of existing facilities. You will troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions and make recommendations that will improve efficiency or quality of operations. You will document specifications and operating procedures.
