About The Position

Northern Counties Health Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team at Northern Counties Dental Center. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to provide quality care in a mission-driven environment that values teamwork and community service.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required; Dental Radiograph Certificate (ADA approved) preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• One year of EFDA or traditional dental assisting experience preferred.
• Strong computer proficiency and familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication skills; must work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare clinical setups, take x-rays, impressions, and help construct mouth guards and fluoride trays.
• Pour dental models, seat and discharge patients, and prepare necessary solutions.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and lab workspaces.
• Document patient care and clinical activities according to protocol.
• Support quality assurance initiatives and infection control standards.
