About The Position

The EEO Officer is responsible for effectively administering and promoting the Company's Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program. This position may also manage and/or administer various HR related processes including, but not limited to: employee relations, training, recruiting, policy administration, unemployment compensation, and the drug-free workplace program. This exempt position will work with indirect supervision.

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record per company minimum standards for drivers.
  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other closely related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Human Resources or Employee Relations required.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or other HR-related certification preferred.
  • Prefer experience administering and promoting an EEO compliance program.
  • Prefer experience managing a Drug-Free Workplace Program.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate discrimination and/or harassment complaints, incidents and reports in coordination with Human Resources Director.
  • Report and recommend corrective action(s) in regards to EEO complaints, disparate treatment, and violations.
  • Consult with supervisory personnel in resolving EEO issues.
  • Report workforce information to government agencies within required timeframes, including, but not limited to: EEO_400 reports, EEO_1, Vets_100, STD 28, STD 21, and EEO_1391's.
  • Conduct annual meetings with leadership and human resources office employees to review and explain the Company's EEO Program and its implementation.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of project sites to insure that working conditions and employee facilities do not indicate discriminatory treatment of project site personnel.
  • Analyze for evidence of discrimination one personnel action from each geographic region of the company on a quarterly basis.
  • Document and communicate findings.
  • In conjunction with leadership, review the training and promotion potential of each Trainee on completion of the PennDOT program.
  • Ensure all stipulations required for contracts and purchase orders are inserted, when requested.
  • Represent GOH with compliance agencies as assigned.
  • Ensure subcontractor and suppliers are notified and in compliance of required EEO obligations under the contract.
  • Periodically send recruitment letters to female and minority recruitment organizations.
  • Develop and conduct employee training as directed.
  • Manage/administer the company Drug Free Workplace program including formulating and implementing all policies and procedures related to the Drug Free Workplace Program.
  • Ensure company compliance with Drug Free Workplace laws.
  • Manage DOT physical expirations for employees with DQ files; schedule recertification physical appointments when needed.
  • Provide employment verification as required by FMCSA.
  • Travel and/or drive personal vehicle to GOH operations and events.
  • Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
  • Occasionally work more than 40 hours per week.
  • Occasionally work non-traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays, and Sundays.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
