Nerve conduction technologist with EEG experience as well as Epilepsy experience is required Full Time position $5K Sign On Bonus Position Purpose As an EMG Technician, you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care under the direction of a licensed clinical professional in a clinic or practice environment. An EMG Tech uses specialized equipment to measure brain abnormalities in patients and monitor nervous system activity What you will do: Apply electrodes to a patient's scalp, connected to the EEG machine by wires Monitor patients during sleep cycles to diagnose sleep disorders Perform office tests and administrative duties Notifies physician and or nurse immediately of life-threatening findings as in status epilepticus, prolonged burst suppression, grand mal seizures or other unsuspected findings which require physician's immediate attention. Possesses knowledge and maintains a constant awareness of potential safety hazards ensuring the necessary safety precautions. Knows how to call for assistance and responds to emergency situations. Technologist is responsible to maintain equipment in good working order through routine adjustments and to report malfunctions to the supervisor and Bio-Med. File all EEG tracings saving to disk and archiving as required. Retrieves data for PI and CQI purposes and other job-related duties as requested by manager. Assists in the development of policy and procedures as they relate to areas of responsibility
