Overview: Job Description Summary: Performs electroneurodiagnostic procedures on patients with suspected neurologic injury or disease and according to facility policies and procedures. Job Description: Essential Functions: Completes technical EEG reports and maintains accurate medical records and documentation. Identifies and performs basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting and artifact identification and elimination. Provides findings, results, and a descriptive analysis according to facility policy and procedures. Monitors patients and maintains safety during procedures. Communicates to other patient care support staff. Participates in tutoring, demonstrating, and mentoring other team members, providing direct and indirect technical supervision. Performs a limited variety of investigational procedures on patients with possible neurologic injury and disease according to established policies and procedures. Stocks and maintains supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate levels and proper functioning. Prepares patient rooms for EEG procedures and performs various administrative functions. Prepares patients for testing, communicating procedure information and answering questions, and ensures accurate electrode application. Collects information pertinent to the interpretation of the test results. Education Requirement: Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program, required. Associate’s Degree, preferred.
