About The Position

The Neurodiagnostic team is comprised of EEG Technologists, EEG Technicians and Neurodiagnostic Assistants. These individuals work together to set up patients with appropriate equipment, allowing for monitoring and recording of electrical activity of a patient’s brain waves. This in turn allows us to provide physicians proof of any brain abnormalities. The team provides support for Butterworth, Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, Blodgett, 25 Michigan and 35 Michigan. The EEG Technician is an entry to mid-level position that performs EEG procedures according to department and Corewell Health policy and procedures.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Associates Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electro neurodiagnostic (END) Program Preferred.
  • 6 Months Relevant Neurodiagnostic/EEG Experience Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG procedures according to department and Corewell Health policy and procedures.
  • Set up patients with appropriate equipment for monitoring and recording brain activity.
  • Provide support for various hospitals and locations within the Corewell Health system.
