The EEG Technician is a participating member of a multidisciplinary team providing neurological diagnostics of JFK Medical Center. This position requires full knowledge of daily operations of the EEG department in clinical and clerical duties. An EEG knowledge base is essential in EEG, EMG, MSLT Evoked Potential Studies, Human Behavior, and emergency procedures/safety as per policy and procedure. The EEG technician will serve as an educator, staff developer, QA monitor, clerk, clinician, and role model.

Provide neurological diagnostics as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Perform clinical and clerical duties in the EEG department.
Conduct EEG, EMG, MSLT Evoked Potential Studies.
Educate and develop staff in EEG procedures.
Monitor quality assurance in EEG practices.
Serve as a role model and clinician in the department.

Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
High School Graduate / GED.
Previous experience as an EEG technician required.
