About The Position

The position involves performing Electroneurodiagnostic studies efficiently for both inpatients and outpatients, ensuring age-specific care. The candidate will be responsible for accurately completing patient documentation, providing preliminary and final results to medical personnel, and maintaining the equipment and recording area in a clean and operational condition. The role requires a high level of technical and patient skills, with the ability to work autonomously without supervision. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, archiving EEG records, and performing specialized tests according to departmental guidelines.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited/ABRET recognized EEG program or High School Equivalent / GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical EEG experience.
• Proficiency in math.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of EEG equipment.
• Knowledge of placement of EEG electrodes.
• EEG pattern recognition skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform electroneurodiagnostic studies for inpatients and outpatients.
• Provide age-specific care to patients.
• Complete all charge entry, database entry, and necessary registration forms accurately.
• Provide preliminary and final results to medical personnel upon request.
• Maintain equipment and recording area in a clean and operational condition.
• Demonstrate behaviors that impact productivity, efficiency, or quality of the laboratory.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Clip and archive EEG records in a timely manner.
• Perform specialized testing such as carotid endarterectomy setups, WADA testing, EEG with Tilt Table, and EEG with PET scan.
• Comply with all policies and standards regarding Protected Health Information (PHI).
