Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of educational program for EEG technicians preferred.
- 2 yrs experience as an EEG technician preferred
- Associate Degree in Electroneurodiagnostic technology from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs preferred
- Certification from the American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologies (ABRET) preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs EEGs, ambulatory EEGs, and multiple sleep latency EEGs.
- Responsible for recording electrical activity of the patient's brain to study epilepsy, convulsive disorders and localizing lesions in the cerebrum.
- Performs clerical duties.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality (CQI) improvement activities.
