About The Position

The position involves performing neurodiagnostic testing, including EEG, EP, MEG, TMS, epilepsy monitoring, and electrocorticography. The role requires assisting in nerve conduction testing and completing all necessary documentation for departmental records and patient procedures. The candidate will also participate in education and training opportunities.

Requirements

• 3 years’ experience in EEG required or R. EEG T. certification.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Neurodiagnostic Technology preferred or equivalent training.
• At least three years’ experience performing EEGs, NCV, and EPs.
• Registered or registry eligible by ABRET in EEG, or within 18 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in epilepsy and intraoperative monitoring preferred.
• Epilepsy experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex EEG and evoked potential (EP) recordings according to established lab protocol and guidelines set forth by the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
• Summarize the patient’s neurological status and clinical history and complete the documentation needed for physician interpretation.
• Record clinical evoked potentials in various modalities and monitor EEG during sodium amytal studies and electrocorticography.
• Complete patient charge forms to ensure accurate and timely billing of procedures.
• Support all functions, goals, and objectives of the department and participate in the development of new diagnostic testing procedures.
• Practice according to safety and infection control policies.
• Provide service excellence to customers by delivering timely, high-quality care in a courteous and respectful manner.
• Incorporate Quality Assessment into daily work and assist in the daily collection of data for the department’s Performance Improvement Program.
• Provide age-appropriate care to patients of various age groups.
