Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic EEG Technician to join our healthcare team. Primary function is to run diagnostic tests to assist doctors with their diagnoses. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner. HCA Florida West Hospital is a 515-bed facility. We are proud to be the areas leading health care facility in quality outcomes performance. We are the areas first Accredited Chest Pain Center and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • National Certification for EEG
  • BLS or BCLS required or to be obtained within 30 days of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited school for Neuro-diagnostics - strongly preferred
  • Applicable work experience and clinical competency may substitute for education
  • A minimum of one year experience - highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of EEG and administration of EEG exams
  • Post exam duties: Accurately processes and files EEG reports.
  • Accurately and efficiently processes EEG and PFT reports in a timely manner and maintains logs of all transcribed reports.
  • Assist with Blood Gas Laboratory data entry to include normal/critical value ABG log, outstanding lab specimen correction and RT lab personnel license board.
  • Assist with the layout, proofing and distribution of the RT Times.
